2) I want to do it in a safe environment with no judgment, because I have no time for visits from The Quilt Police.

To many people, a quilt is just a blanket or something to keep them warm, but a quilt is so much more. It is the money spent on supplies, the time spent sewing it, and the love or positive intention sewn into each stitch.

Quilting is more than a craft, it’s a journey of love and creativity stitched into every quilt.

Quilts are frequently made for special occasions like baby showers, weddings, anniversaries and more. Quilts can also be used as table runners, wall hangings and in clothing and bag construction. A quilt is so much more than a blanket.

Coffee First Quilt Crew

After many years of watching beginner quilting dreams get dashed in numerous online groups, I decided to start Coffee First Quilt Crew.

Coffee First Quilt Crew is where you can take courses to learn to quilt and then work up to harder projects. We will start with:

  • what tools you need and this is only the bare minimum, 
  • how to buy a sewing machine if you don’t already have one, 
  • how to work with a pattern, 
  • how to construct your quilt top, and
  • how to finish your first project
