It’s November first and the end of 2024 is fast approaching. However, before we end the year, we get to all of the Festive Holidays in the month of December. I am not being politically correct by calling them Holidays because there is more than Christmas to celebrate in December.

Check out my article where I share some great projects you can make for the Holiday Season. Enjoy!

Festive Quilts to Celebrate All Of the December Holidays

December 21 – Yule (Winter Solstice)

Winter Solstice quilt pattern by Alderwood Studio. A modern quilt pattern made up of triangles and diamond shapes

Winter Solstice Quilt Pattern by Alderwood Studio is a stunning modern quilt. The use of a green palette in this quilt is certainly reminiscent of pine trees in winter. Celebrate the shortest day of the year with the Winter Solstice Quilt Pattern.

December 25 – Christmas

December 25 – Hanukkah

For the beautiful celebration of Hanukkah, this is an wonderful quilt called Festival of Lights by Tara Reed.

December 26 – Kwanzaa

When I was looking for quilt patterns to celebrate Kwanzaa, I didn’t find many patterns. Instead I uncovered this fabulous article called Making a Kwanzaa Quilt.

December 31 – New Year’s Eve

New Year's Kiss Quilt featuring basic blocks and shapes in shade of pink, navy blue, orange and royal blue

In case you are motivated to start a project for the New Year, check out New Year’s Kiss Pattern by Toad & Sew. It’s a fun quilt made with traditional blocks. A different colour palette of perhaps metallics could make it reminiscent of New Year’s Eve.

My Final Thoughts

I hope these quilt designs give you incentive to get making before our lives get very busy during the month of December. Shop your stash first (if you have one) and get quilting.
